Adam the Woo Shared How He Wanted to Be Remembered Years Before Death

YouTuber Adam the Woo reflected on how he wanted to be remembered years before his death.

“I don’t know how I want to be remembered. I guess it’s someone who just kind of threw caution to the wind and just went out and did his own thing and lived his own life,” he shared in a 2014 YouTube video shared by Kenny Johnson Documentaries.

More than a decade after the video, news broke that the influencer — real name David Adam Williams — was discovered dead inside his home in Celebration, Florida. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office confirmed his death on Monday, December 22, to Us Weekly, sharing that a concerned friend alerted authorities after finding the influencer lying unconscious on a bed.

“Deputies first responded to the address at 12:24 p.m. [on Monday] for a well-being check. The residence was secured, and no contact was made with the adult male residing there,” the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office public information officer told Us.

Adam the Woo’s loved ones have since shared tributes to the influencer.

“This breaks my heart and I want to say nothing right now. I don’t have the right photo or the right words. But with all the rumors, I feel I need to say what I can,” YouTuber Justin “Scarred” Willits wrote via social media on Monday. “The world has lost a giant, and I have lost a friend closer to me than blood.”

He continued, “We lost Adam. I loved this man with my whole heart and I don’t know what to do or what to say. His family are informed and have quietly confirmed online. Please pray for his parents Jim and June and his sister Faith.”

Willits wrote that Adam the Woo had “so many wonderful friends” and “knew that he was loved.”
“Adam and I talked about this day so many times. I wish the world could have known the soft and generous heart behind the screen, the laughter and the tears ‘backstage.’ He was a wonderful person, a true friend to me whenever I needed him, and I genuinely don’t know what to do without him,” he wrote.

He continued, “And not just me. I’ve spent all day on the phone with SO many people who were close to Adam, who he loved and who loved him. He touched many many lives, and he was preparing for another year of adventures, and I’m sure he would have touched even more. And I’m telling you, from a front row seat; he was the best. One of a kind. Irreplaceable.”
