The Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein complained about the house her ex-husband, Lenny Hochstein, is building for her and her kids amid their ongoing divorce battle, Us Weekly can exclusively report.
On August 28, Lisa, 43 filed court docs accusing Lenny, 59, of being in contempt of court for allegedly failing to comply with their divorce judgment. (Contempt of court is when someone fails to follow a court order.) She claims her plastic surgeon ex-husband has not kept up his end of their June 2023 settlement, which resolved all disputed financial issues, including child support. Lenny adamantly denies the accusations.
The Bravo star claimed Lenny had breached two provisions. The first required him to pay $17,000 per month toward Lisa’s rent, with increases if her rent went up, until a home was constructed for her and their kids.
Lisa said Lenny was required to purchase a parcel of land on South Shore Drive or a comparable market value close to Star Island in Miami. She claimed they were both to have a say in the construction of the home. “The home must be constructed in an architectural style and manner similar to” the home they previously shared.
The filing said Lenny was responsible for all permits and construction. The home was to be put into a trust for their children, with Lisa having exclusive use of the home until the youngest child turns 18.
Lenny was to cover all costs associated with construction, maintenance, real estate taxes, insurance and other expenses. If the home was not completed within two years of the settlement, or before June 23, 2025, Lenny was to pay an additional $5,000 on top of his pre-existing rental obligation.

Lisa said Lenny started work on a home that she didn’t find to be comparable to the home they shared. In addition, she said Lenny has refused to pay the increase to her rent, which she said had gone up from $32,000 to $33,600 per month.
“[Lenny] has refused to pay the rent increases, despite his ability to comply,” she claimed.
Lisa said the home Lenny was to build for her had six bedrooms, a waterfront location and view and a guest house. She said the home he is building without consulting her only has two stories “rather than a two-story home with an additional understory, has no guest home, has five bedrooms rather than six bedrooms, has a driveway which accommodates approximately one-third of the cars it is supposed to, has a smaller pool, is not waterfront and happens to be across from a very noisy high school where band practice is held.”
Lisa said she told Lenny her complaints, but he ignored her. She said he texted her “The house will be ready in 2-3 months, at which point I will not pay your rent.”
She claimed Lenny’s actions are a “deliberate attempt to deprive” her and the children of the “benefit of their bargain under the” settlement. She accused him of violating the deal “to spite” her and “create instability in her home environment.”
She pointed out Lenny is a “very successful plastic surgeon and businessman with a self-proclaimed net worth of $175,000,000. Lisa said she does “not know where she is going to live and what to expect, which is exactly what the [settlement] was trying to avoid.”
“Furthermore, having a stable home is a requirement for her job as a TV personality, which is the way she earns her livelihood,” Lisa’s lawyer added. “Since the divorce was finalized, [Lenny] has engaged in a deliberate pattern of non-compliance.”
When contacted for comment, Lenny told Us, “None of this is true. It is Lisa that has breached the agreement, which is why we have a hearing later this month.”
He tells Us, “I have complied with every aspect of the agreement. The home she is referring to is 5,215 square ft in comparison the home I am building is 5,074 square ft with an additional 480 square ft attached garage, so if you include that, the house I am building is larger in size.”
Lenny said the home will be worth between $7 million to $9 million. “The fact that Lisa finds this to be ‘not enough’ for her should tell you everything you need to know about the kind of person she is,” he added.

Lenny explained he has paid Lisa’s rent since the divorce while the home was being built, which he believes will be finished next month.
He told Us that Lisa’s boyfriend, Jody Glidden, “sold his home and moved in with Lisa so for the past two years, I have been paying his rent as well.”
“Lisa continues to accuse me of things that are false,” he said.
Lenny concluded, “It is my intention to continue to pay rent so Lisa and Jody can live in comfort until the nearly $10 million home is ready, at which point Lisa will be able to live in luxury with Jody.”
In response, Lisa’s lawyer Parastoo Majd tells Us: “Lenny’s self-serving statements are nothing more than distractions designed to deflect from one simple truth: he’s not complying with the Marital Settlement Agreement. He has failed to uphold his end of the deal, depriving Lisa of her benefit of the bargain and forcing her to waste time and resources in court to enforce what he already agreed to.”
“To be clear, this isn’t about the house not being ‘enough.’ This is about upholding a contract. The Marital Settlement Agreement required a home built to specific architectural standards and approved plans,” Majd added. “Perhaps the most telling part is that, despite his self-proclaimed net worth of ‘175 million dollars,’ Lenny has stopped paying rent for the home where his two children live, despite his contractual obligation to do so, forcing Lisa to file yet another motion and return to court.”
Majd ended, “It is apparent that Lenny hates nothing more than a woman who refuses to be controlled. Lisa is standing up for fairness, accountability, her children’s future, and the rule of law against a man who believes the rules simply do not apply to him.”
Lisa and Lenny wed in 2009 and split in May 2022. When their divorce was finalized in November 2024, Lenny was ordered to pay Lisa $15,000 a month in child support as well. They share two minor children: a son named Logan, 10, and a daughter named Elle Marie, 7.
Lisa asked the court to step in and force her ex to comply with the settlement.
