October 2025: Wendy Osefo
Wendy and husband Eddie Osefo were arrested and indicted on insurance fraud, conspiracy insurance fraud and false statement to a police officer, according to court documents obtained by Us. They were released from custody after each posting a $50,000 bond.
The arrests came after the couple claimed in April 2024 that their home was burglarized, with several designer handbags and valuable pieces of jewelry allegedly stolen. However, an investigation found that the couple purchased many of the allegedly stolen items and returned them to stores for a refund prior to making the burglary claims.
Additionally, an email from Eddie to Wendy obtained by deputies revealed that he asked if there were “additional high-value items we can add to this inventory listing (i.e., Chanel shoes, etc.)? I’m trying to get the total to exceed $423,000 which is our policy maximum.”
Investigators were suspicious of the circumstances surrounding the burglary and discovered that Eddie and Wendy had been “burdened by substantial debt.”
