Pretty Little Liars alum Troian Bellisario is pregnant with her and husband Patrick J. Adams‘ third baby.
Adams, 44, shared the news via Instagram on Tuesday, November 4, posting a black-and-white photo of Bellisario, 40, cradling her baby bump while gazing out a window.
“We don’t know your name yet. We don’t know your gender. We don’t know what your smile looks like or what your first laugh will do to our hearts. We don’t [know] what will make you laugh or cry or what food you will fall in love with first,” he wrote in the caption. “We don’t know what will scare you or how you’ll learn to overcome it. We don’t know what kind of music will make you want to move or what kind of clothes you’ll reach for when your arms are strong enough to grab them. We don’t know exactly what kind of gymnastics our hearts will do when we get to hold you for the first time.”
Adams continued, “We’ve been here before but we’ve never been here with you and so we really know nothing at all. Almost nothing. What we do know is that we have an infinite supply of love waiting for you. Love, laughter, tears, dance parties, lullabies and lessons. We’ll show you some stuff but you will teach us everything else.”
The Suits alum acknowledged that while they “don’t know much,” the couple are certain “there is nothing we want to be more than your parents.”
“It’s a strange stage you’re about to walk out on but we’ll be right there with you for the whole terrifying, wonderful and beautiful show. Thanks for choosing us. We will always choose you. Soon…” he concluded.
Friends celebrated the reveal in the comments section, including PLL alum Ian Harding, who gushed, “So so so happy for you folks. Congratulations!”
Bellisario hinted that she’s expecting in an Instagram post of her own while recapping her 40th birthday celebration.
“Here comes a new decade and a whole new human to go with it,” she wrote alongside a video which showed the pair posing for portraits with their daughters, Aurora, 7, and Elliot, 4.

The actress also gave Adams a sweet shout-out, writing, “The biggest thanks goes to my partner and the most amazing human I’ve ever met @patrickjadams who knew just what I wanted, Gave me the camera to start experimenting, drove our camper van two days during his shoot just to be there in person and brought our girls so we could be a family in the middle of it all. I love you so much and I’m so beyond grateful for everything that you do and have done to make this life an adventure of goodness and love.”
Bellisario and Adams met in 2009 but called it quits two years later. It wasn’t long before the pair reconciled, and Us Weekly confirmed their engagement in 2014. They tied the knot in 2016.
Aurora was born in 2018. Both Adams and Bellisario have spoken candidly about her little sister’s “exciting” 2021 arrival — which took place in a hospital parking garage.
“[Troian] is still on all fours, butt facing the windshield,” Adams recalled on the “Katie’s Crib” podcast shortly after Elliot was born. “Her butt’s at my head level, so I just go and pull down her pants, and [the baby’s] head is right there. … [It] all took place in the span of about three minutes.”
