The Bachelorette alum Jason Tartick is a bonafide Swiftie — and for a very good reason.
“Well, I didn’t actually meet her, but I was sitting at a table right here in this booth, and she was in the next one for two hours or less than 85 people in this room,” Tartick, 37, explained via a video shared on Instagram on Friday, November 7, revealing to fans that he ran into Taylor Swift and her fiancé, Travis Kelce, during their Thursday, November 6, in New York City.
“I’m telling you, for two hours, I was this far away from her. It was unbelievable,” he continued. “Okay, first and foremost, what I thought was cool: the privacy in the room, it’s about 8,500 people. No pictures, no one went up to that table. It was a little disheartening, but also kind of made me curious is knowing the privacy they had in this room, the second they walked outside this club … there was gonna be paparazzi. After this, two hours of just taking it all in, her electricity, her glow, her light in a room, it’s like you just can’t stop looking at her.”
Swift, 35, also “had the iconic red lipstick on,” Tartick continued, adding that she “had the watch, and her new ring was absolutely blingin’.”
“There was something so, like, humble and real and down to earth and, like, pure, but also something that was like such like a light, if that makes sense,” he said, adding that the pair “were adorable” for the duration of their time in the restaurant.
After he was asked if he “overheard anything juicy,” by a commenter, Tartick answered, “Haha no and if I did I wouldn’t share that. I was absolutely blown away at how present she was. Like there was nothing in the world happening other than the people in front of her. My favorite was when her drink was done so she reached over and took his drink for a nice big gulp. Legend” alongside a raised hand emoji.
Swift and Travis were photographed together in New York City on Thursday, one day after they were also sighted walking hand in hand to dinner at The Polo Bar.
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in August after two years of dating.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift captioned an Instagram post that featured several photos from the proposal, which took place at Kelce’s home after her debut on her now-fiancé’s hit podcast.
“He really crushed it in surprising me. While we were talking on his podcast, he had a complete garden built out the back of his house to propose in,” Swift said during an interview on The Graham Norton Show in October. “He went all out — 10 out of 10.”

Though the pair have offered little by way of a date or wedding-related details, a source exclusively told Us Weekly in September that they are in the “early planning stages” of the process. “There is no venue or location set yet,” the insider added, though they noted the wedding will likely take place early in 2026.
“[Swift] is having so much fun researching venues and locations,” the source also said. “She’s in the ideation phase and enjoying it because she’s so creative.”
They continued: “They don’t want to have a big, over-the-top wedding with a ton of people. It will be private with friends and family, not a ton of celebrities or random people. It will be meaningful, and they will be surrounded by people who are special to them. Despite their celebrity, they are down-to-earth and normal. They aren’t the flashy people who want a $20 million fantasy wedding. She doesn’t want the pomp and circumstance.”
