Megan Thee Stallion Is Manifesting Her Own Super Bowl Halftime Show

Megan Thee Stallion has her eyes set on the ultimate stage.

“I’m manifesting a Super Bowl halftime performance for myself in the future,” the “Savage” rapper, 30, exclusively tells Us Weekly while promoting her Fanatics Sportsbook’s “Explained by Megan Thee Stallion” series. “Honestly, I would really love the opportunity if it presented itself and I would embrace the challenge. The Hotties know I love to put on a show, so I would just want to turn the halftime show into a big party, come with some surprises and put on for my city.”

Megan’s new NBA broadcast and digital series “celebrates where basketball, music and sports collide, showcasing Fanatics’ industry-leading FanCash rewards and Fair Play™ injury protection in a way only Megan could,” according to a press release. The “Body” rapper follows in the footsteps of The White Lotus actor Patrick Schwarzenegger and former gymnast Livvy Dunne, who each starred on their own “Explained by” series.

Over the years, stars including Mark Wahlberg, Chrissy Teigen and more have taken their football fandom to the sport’s biggest annual event: the Super Bowl. Teigen made a memorable appearance at the Super Bowl in 2017 when she suffered a nip slip. While watching the showdown between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons with […]

In a promotional video for the new campaign, which was directed by Grammy-winning filmmaker Calmatic, known for Lil Nas X‘s “Old Town Road” and Kendrick Lamar‘s “Squabble,” Megan appears on a basketball court as she directs a 25-piece orchestra, whose members are decked out in professional basketball jerseys.

It makes sense that Megan’s new campaign is focused on basketball. The Houston, Texas native is a big supporter of the WNBA, as she has been spotted at various games and at events with her close friend and Chicago Sky player Angel Reese.

“I have a lot of love and respect for my girl, Angel Reese,” Megan told Us. “Not only is she a talented basketball player, but she’s out here building a business empire, killing it in the fashion industry, creating new opportunities for women in sports and just having fun living her life. She’s popped out at a few of my shows in the past and it’s always great energy with her.”

Throughout the promo video, Megan explains how Fanatics’ FanCash is earned on bets, regardless if you win or lose, and can be applied on things like authentic NBA merchandise and game tickets, collectibles, one of a kind experiences and more. The “Hot Girl Summer” rapper told Us that even from a young age she has always “bet” on herself.

“Even just deciding to pursue a career as a rapper was a risk, but I was just confident,” Megan said. “To this day, I’m always betting on myself in all aspects of my life. When I launched my Tequila and my swimwear brands, those were risky business decisions, but I never doubted myself or my team. You can’t let fear or insecurity stop you from reaching your full potential.”

The H-Town Hottie recently released “Lover Girl,” which received lots of online buzz. Megan told Us the new single was indicative of this new era she’s entering.

“It’s just reflective of this new chapter of my journey. Right now, I’m in a great space where I’m just more comfortable and open to receiving love from everyone in my life,” Megan said. “It’s a beautiful and peaceful place to be, so I’m really just enjoying the soft life right now. The reception to the song has been incredible – I’m really happy the Hotties are loving it.”
