Ariana Grande gets her style inspo from the best.
Grande, 32, rocked a familiar-looking vintage Bob Mackie dress while promoting Saturday Night Live, which she’s hosting on Saturday, December 20. In a clip shared via social media on Thursday, December 18, Grande stunned in a yellow, orange and brown chevron-striped dress featuring a crisscross halter neck, a fitted bodice and a long skirt. The look was once worn by the one and only Carol Burnett.
Grande wrapped a matching shawl around her arms and further accessorized with a gold ring, diamond stud earrings and a French manicure.
Her glam was just as flawless as her outfit, featuring glowy foundation as well as bronzed and rosy cheeks. The singer’s eye makeup was complete with a tan shadow blended to her outer corner with a light shade tapped into her lids, plus winged eyeliner and long lashes. She topped off her glam with a contoured button nose and glossy lips. Her brunette hair was styled in her signature look with her mane parted to the side and slicked back into an elegant updo.
Grande shared photos of her look via Instagram, as well as a snap of Burnett, now 92, wearing the look in 1973 during an episode of The Carol Burnett Show. At the time, Burnett wore the look with gold statement earrings. Her auburn bob was worn down with her bangs blown out over her forehead.
“♡ 🌼,” Grande captioned the post. Her celebrity friends and fans complimented her in the comments section.
“Yes,” her friend and former Victorious costar Liz Gillies wrote. Daniella Monet added, “Okaaaay ☀️🌻✨,” while Rachel Zegler also commented, “Yup yup yup yup yup.”
Grande previously wore another vintage dress last month at the Wicked: For Good premiere in London. For the occasion, she donned a black Adrian dress dating back to 1952. The gown featured a one-shoulder neckline with sweetheart cups and a fitted bodice. The design fell into an asymmetrical skirt with pleats on one side and tiered ruffles on the other. The dress was finished with large sequins all over and a delicate train.
Grande added even more glam to her ensemble with a diamond necklace and stud earrings.
Her glam perfectly tied her look together with long lashes creating a cat-eye effect, manicured eyebrows and glossy lips. Her hair was styled in the same look with her bangs parted to the side and gelled down.

Later that night, Grande changed into a second vintage look consisting of another 1950s ball gown for an afterparty.
The dress featured a sheer neckline that exposed thin straps underneath a tulle overlay. The design was complete with a tiered pleated skirt adorned with white flowers. Grande made her look even cooler with platform Christian Louboutin heels.
Grande is hosting Saturday Night Live alongside Cher, who is serving as the show’s musical guest. The “7 Rings” singer previously hosted the show in October 2024.
