Influencer Ash Trevino was arrested in Texas on Wednesday, December 17, for having outstanding warrants, according to reports
Trevino, 36, was booked into Ellis County Jail, according to People. She has since been released on $15,000 bond.
Venus Police Department Police Chief James Groom told the outlet that the influencer, whose real name is Ashley Lopez-Trevino, had “active felony warrants out of the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office.” However, details regarding the warrants are not currently known.
Groom said that a patrol officer visited Trevino at her home on Wednesday, December 17, around 7:50 p.m. and she was then taken into custody “without incident.”
Trevino did not immediately respond to Us Weekly’s request for comment.
Following her arrest, Trevino took to Snapchat to share an update with her followers.
“I got me an attorney already and I got my bond,” she said in a portion of the livestream that was filmed in her car and later uploaded to TikTok by a fan. “This morning, I’m already out. So, I’m blessed.”
As the clip continued, Trevino shared that she had upcoming plans to visit a casino “next week.”
In another recording of the livestream, Trevino opened up about her mugshot that was taken after her arrest.
“How did you like my mugshot though? I was trying not to smile,” she said. “But yeah, like they can’t hold me down like what the f**k?”
She continued, “Like haters are going to pray on my downfall and watch, watch. I’mma fight this, watch.”
Trevino then started to dance along to the beat of the music playing in her car as she declared, “I’m out!”
“I was locked up! I still ain’t got my jewelry on, handcuffs gone bruising me. You should have seen me, I looked cute in those handcuffs,” she said.
Trevino continued to seemingly make light of the situation by saying, “I date inmates, I don’t become an inmate. Now, I’m an inmate.”
The influencer is best known for sharing controversial lifestyle content on social media, while she has also faced backlash for expressing interest in dating inmates with explicit detail. She currently has over 400,000 followers on Snapchat, as well as 138,000 followers on Instagram.
Trevino recently shared a video via Instagram explaining why she no longer posts content on TikTok. “I don’t have my TikTok account anymore. Once they started banning them … ” she said, adding that the social media website is “not the same” as it used to be and it only causes “drama.”
She also faced backlash in February when podcast host and OnlyFans model Camilla Araujo criticized Trevino’s parenting decisions.
The drama began when Trevino revealed she refused to buy her daughters, who are 15 and 12, beds, according to the Daily Mail. Araujo, 23, and many social media users expressed their disapproval over the mindset, especially since Trevino has openly spent her fortune on designer clothes and accessories.
After Araujo asked why her daughters don’t have beds, Trevino claimed that she was unable to go furniture shopping because she is frequently recognized in public.
