Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and Below Deck Down Under are crossing over in more ways than one!
During the Tuesday, October 28, episode of RHOSLC, Heather Gay organized a yacht trip to the island of Canouan for the ladies in a crossover event with the stars of Below Deck Down Under, and it seems there is some history between her and Captain Jason Chambers.
In a drunken exchange with costar Britani Bateman, Heather, 51, claimed she and the Australian captain have hooked up in the past.
“You’re canoodling with Jason. He’s not interested in me,” Britani, 54, who expressed interest in Jason earlier in the episode, told Heather.

Heather responded, “I know, but Jason and I are friends. We have a history. We’ve f***ed around before. It’s like, there’s nothing there.”
Britani was taken aback by Heather’s admission, asking, “What do you mean you’ve f***ed around before?”
“We’re friends. I’m saying we’re friends, so there’s latitude,” Heather explained.
However, in a confessional directly after her conversation with Britani aired, Heather was surprised by her alcohol-fueled admission.
“I said that?” Heather told producers. “Serious face? You can’t use that. I don’t know why I said that to her. Delete. Delete.”
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly published on Tuesday, October 28, Jason shared how his friendship with Heather played a part in the Bravo crossover. He said he’s hung out with Heather and Whitney Rose in Australia in the past at Bravo events, and jumped at the chance to host the Housewives when the Bad Mormon author asked for a yacht charter.
“They’re so lovely, all of them,” Jason told Us. “We were so grateful. [The crew felt] blessed that they had that time with them. They’re really beautiful people. However, we know what they like when they’re together. You’ll see that. I’ve tried everything to try and break the ice. I brought some yoga and some Zen into it to try and stop it. But I don’t think there’s anything we could have done to calm it down.”
The Housewives’ yacht trip will play out over the next few episodes of RHOSLC, currently in its sixth season, and on the upcoming 4th season of Below Deck Down Under.

“We didn’t know what we’re in for, but wow. What a wow,” Jason teased the dramatic charter. “What a way to start a season, I’ll tell you. To be quite honest, there’s a lot going on now. There’s a lot happening, and I don’t think you could fit that much into a three-day charter.”
The trip got off to a dramatic start during Tuesday’s episode of RHOSLC when Heather got into a heated exchange with Lisa Barlow, accusing the Vida Tequila founder of leaking gossip to blogs.
“I don’t care about anyone outside of the people seated at this table, and I just want to be real with you — I think you’re the source of all the dirt,” she said.
Lisa, 50, shot back, “I am the motherf***ing Don of Salt Lake City, I guess, because this is f***ing weird.”
“If we pull them apart at each end of the boat, it’s a lot quieter,” Jason joked to Us about the drama on the boat. “As soon as they come together, it’s just on.”
