Kim Kardashian is revealing how her daughter, North West, reacted to online criticism after she recently shared photos of herself sporting fake tattoos, piercings and a grill on TikTok.

In a recent video for Complex, Kardashian, 45, told her All’s Fair costar Niecy Nash-Betts that it was North, 12, who clapped back declaring the controversy was a “non-issue” in the comments section of the video, not her.

“North, if she ever posts a TikTok, it’s on my phone, so she has to ask my approval, and then I post it. The comments, all that’s on my phone,” Kardashian shared during an episode of Complex’s “GOAT Talk” YouTube series published on Wednesday, November 5.

She continued, “Her and her girlfriends, they love doing costumes, they love doing looks, and so, it’s Halloween season, so they put on fake tattoos on their face, fake piercings, they all had their colored hair. They looked like an opium Powerpuff Girls … [that’s] what they were going for.”

North West has got to be the most fashionable 6-year-old we’ve ever seen. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter is truly following in her mama’s footsteps when it comes to killer style and beauty. The pint-sized cutie is already a budding fashionista in her own right. Whether she is hanging out backstage at dad Kanye […]

“She was like, ‘I don’t get it. It’s a Halloween costume. It’s all fake,’” Kardashian said. “So, she takes my phone, and she writes back to a comment, and she goes, ‘This is such a non-issue.’ Then online, it was like, ‘Kim defends North to the end on this look.’”

Kardashian was pleased with her daughter fending off the haters, saying, “That’s a good clapback.”

Nash-Betts, meanwhile, added, “I’mma put that one in my bag of tricks.”

In an October 20 TikTok post, North — who shares a TikTok account with her mom — posted a bold new look, showing off pictures of herself with blue highlights in her braids, several fake face tattoos — including a star under one eye and her name in cursive font under the other — and a fake septum piercing. “Fake piercings and fake tatts 4 life,” she wrote.

However, some social media users were critical of the look given her age.

“She’s TWELVE??” one person wrote, while another said that it was a “shocking new look.”

On October 25, North and Kim’s TikTok account clapped back at critics, writing, “This is such a non-issue,” though the comment was initially attributed to Kardashian.

Kardashian, who shares North with ex-husband Kanye West, recently spoke about her daughter’s bold fashion choices during an October appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.

“She’s really mature in one sense where she’ll be like, ‘Mom, I saw this and I don’t really care that they don’t like… my blue hair or this or that.’ She’s really confident,” Kardashian said, per People.

However, navigating North’s various looks, which she often posts on TikTok, has been a learning curve for both mother and daughter.

“I’m like, ‘OK, we’re never wearing that again. Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.’ As a mom, you’re kind of like learning at the same time,” Kardashian added.

The mom of four also gave an update on her love life, revealing, “I have my kids to raise, I have a life that requires a lot of my attention and my kids just really need me right now.”

“I don’t know how I would fit something else in. So I’m just not looking and it would have to be someone super special for me,” she said.
