Sarah Paulson and Pedro Pascal have become Hollywood’s favorite duo.
While their friendship has spanned three decades, the actors kept their close-knit relationship out of the public eye until Pascal became the internet’s, ahem, father.
“He’s a bitch baby,” Paulson joked during a November 2025 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, after being asked to share a surprising fact about Pascal.
“I’m kidding. Not kidding,” she added. “He has a lot of demands, which he would argue are my demands, and I argue they’re his. We’re brother and sister.”
Cohen chimed in asking which one of them pays for dinner at this point in their respective careers.
“He pays for dinner now,” Paulson responded.
Keep scrolling to look back at Pascal and Paulson’s friendship over the years:
September 1993
Pascal revealed it was his “first month” in New York City that he and Paulson crossed paths.
“There are a couple of things that I probably shouldn’t say about all of us — we were 18-year-olds in New York City in 1993,” he recalled during a 2014 interview with Interview Magazine.
Late 1990s
Paulson “started working and never stopped,” which led to a brief period where they drifted apart.
“You went to Los Angeles, and we didn’t reconnect until a few years later,” Pascal recalled in the same conversation. “I came to L.A. for a bit and then went back to New York. Even after going back to New York, we somehow went into chapter two of our friendship that — we attached to each other and haven’t been able to let go.”
2000
After Pascal moved back to New York City, Paulson helped financially support him — in some ways.
“He’s talked about this publicly, but there were times when I would give him my per diem from a job I was working on so that he could have money to feed himself,” she told Esquire in April 2023.
October 2005
The duo attended the Absurd Person Singular play premiere together in NYC. Throughout the early 2000s, they continued to make several red carpet appearances together.

Paulson passed along Pascal’s Game of Thrones audition tape to Amanda Peet’s husband, David Benioff, who cocreated the show.
September 2014

January 2016

April 2019
Paulson celebrated Pascal’s Broadway debut with an Instagram tribute.
“I love you @pascalispunk what an extraordinarily moving thing to witness your Broadway debut. I am in awe of you,” she wrote at the time.
February 2023
Paulson appeared alongside Pascal for a sketch during his Saturday Night Live debut.
“It was just a night we didn’t want to end,” she told Vanity Fair years later, remembering that night. “If there had been a camera on me when it was happening — and there’d been a slow push in — it would’ve shown me watching his life begin.”
April 2024
Pascal returned the favor and interviewed Paulson for an Interview Magazine profile.
July 2025
The duo attended the opening night of Evita together in London.
November 2025
Paulson gushed over Pascal during her WWHL appearance.
“I always knew he was the most talented person I knew. And I knew that if anything was right in the world, that his working life would become this,” she said. “It’s not surprising to me from a talent level. … That doesn’t really happen that much anymore, where someone bursts on the scene and has a thing.”
