Jana Duggar and her sister-in-law Abbie Duggar found the sexes of their unborn babies with an extra-special joint reveal.
“Put your guesses in! New gender reveal video coming soon,” Jana, 35, wrote via Instagram on October 27, sharing a photo of both happy couples standing in front of a “He or She?” display with pink, blue and ivory-colored balloons.
Jana and her husband, Stephen Wissmann, announced in August that they are expecting their first baby. Weeks later, Jana’s twin brother, John-David Duggar, revealed that his wife is pregnant with baby No. 3. (John-David, 35, and Abbie, 33, are already parents to Grace, 5, and Charlie, 3.)
Jana uploaded the sex reveal onto her YouTube page on Wednesday, November 5, sharing that she is expecting a baby boy after blue powder engulfed the sky. As for John-David and Abbie, they will have another daughter as their side of the reveal featured pink powder.
Twins Jana and John-David are two of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 children. While John-David has been married to Abbie since 2018, Jana didn’t start dating Wissman, 32, until early 2024 after years of being platonic pals.
“It was like, ‘What are we doing? We still enjoy each other. We still really appreciate each other,’” Jana recalled to People in August 2024. “I had been a slower mover on it, but just over time, his character, his coming back, still loving me no matter what. I know we have a big crazy family and still kind of putting up with a lot of things. I’m like, my goodness, there are not too many people that do that. He must really, genuinely care about me.”
Jana and Wissman secretly got engaged in June 2024 and married the following August. After tying the knot, Jana relocated from her family’s native Arkansas to Wissman’s home in Nebraska.
Jana Duggar had another big reason to celebrate days before her pregnancy reveal. “He has a little house we bought that we’ve been fixing up and getting pulled together, and so that’s been fun,” Jana told People ahead of her wedding day. “The Wissmanns are incredible cooks. They’re going to do a full spread and they’ve been working on it. I’m like, ‘Just do it. I trust y’all. Y’all making amazing food.’”
As Jana bonded with her in-laws, she’s also given fans a glimpse at their home renovation progress via social media.
“I’m working out in our garage right now, installing garage door installation,” Jana said in a YouTube vlog uploaded last month. “Hoping that this will help keep our garage insulated during the winter, as well as the summer. … I am painting this back wall [and] this back section black because I’m going to do a fun little piece over there. We’ll be adding a storage section for all of our tools.”
John-David and Abbie, meanwhile, are still based in Arkansas with their soon-to-be three little ones.
“We celebrated seven years of marriage this week,” Abbie wrote via Instagram earlier on Wednesday. “I am so blessed to be married to my best friend who loves me so tenderly, cares for me so gently, waits for me so patiently and serves so selflessly. God has been so good and kind to us!”
