Kylie Kelce Defends Decision to Stop Breast-Feeding at 8 Months

Kylie Kelce is ignoring any critics after sharing that she is currently weaning her 8-month-old baby girl, Finn, from breast-feeding.

“Finn’s about to cut a tooth, OK? And as selfish as this may sound, that’s where I draw the line. Aggressively. That’s aggressively where I draw the line,” Kylie, 33, who shares Finn and daughters Wyatt, 6, Ellie, 4, and Bennett, 2, with husband Jason Kelce, said on the Thursday, December 18, episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast.

“That’s where I’ve drawn the line for all of my other children. I’ve never breast-fed a child past them getting teeth, full disclosure,” she said.

Kylie shared that although switching from breastmilk to formula is hard, she’d rather deal with the switchup than have her nipple “steam-rolled like f***ing fresh concrete.”

Courtesy of Kylie Kelce/Instagram Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie Kelce, are proud parents of daughters— and they wouldn’t have it any other way. The Philadelphia Eagles center married Kylie in April 2018 nearly three years after matching on dating app Tinder. Less than one year after their nuptials, they welcomed eldest daughter Wyatt in October […]

“I typically have breast-fed our girls anywhere between seven and eight months. I think the longest that I’ve gone for any other child has been maybe a hair past eight months. Right now with Finnie, this is the longest I have done it,” she explained. “But just to be clear, this is my choice and it might not be the choice that other people make. And I think it’s important to say this, I am very fortunate to have been able to breast-feed because I know that that’s not always everyone’s journey. Some people who want to cannot. So it’s important to recognize that my girls have switched to formula. And guess what? I have a 6-year-old who is learning to read, who can write. She’s thriving.”

Kylie went on to say that anyone who has an opinion about her decision to switch to formula after nursing for the better part of a year can “kindly get f***ed” as the most important thing is to make sure a baby is well-fed.

“Fed is best. Let me say it one more time for emphasis, fed is best,” Kylie reiterated.

Kylie and Jason, 38, are seasoned parents at this point and decided to bring all four kids to their uncle Travis Kelce’s football game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, December 14.

The little ones were spotted with their parents in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium as Travis’ team, the Kansas City Chiefs, lost 16-13 — ending their hopes of making the playoffs this NFL season.

Despite the Chiefs’ loss, however, the Kelce girls had a good time hanging with Travis’ fiancée and their aunt-to-be, Taylor Swift.

“It was also super exciting to get to see friends and family that were there, because the girls were so excited to get to watch a game with all of them,” Kylie said on her podcast.

She added that her daughters are “not that interested in football, to be quite honest with you,” but they enjoyed spending the day with loved ones at Sunday’s game.

“Finnie slept for, like, an hour and a half there, so she’s a real one,” Kylie noted of her youngest daughter. “She actually slept through all the screaming and cheering, which is hilarious to me.”
