Lori Loughlin ‘Devastated’ Over Separation From Mossimo Giannulli

Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli’s split was a long time coming, but the Full House alum is still struggling with the separation.

“People around Lori and Mossimo have known they have been going through a really hard time in the last year,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. “This isn’t a shock to people around them. It has been a rough time for Lori. She is devastated.”

The insider adds that Loughlin, 61, “thought a break could help” her relationship with Giannulli, 62, but “they are not on the same page.”

“They will not reconcile — there is currently no chance — and will ultimately divorce,” the source says.

While Giannulli has “been on dates” since the split, Loughlin “has not,” the insider notes.

Us confirmed on October 2 that Loughlin and Giannulli had separated after nearly 28 years of marriage.

“They are living apart now,” Loughlin’s rep told Us in a statement. “There are no legal proceedings underway.”

One day later, Giannulli sparked dating rumors with stylist Hannah Harrison, but the 32-year-old exclusively told Us that their relationship is platonic.

“I feel like it was bad timing. I went to the [G/FORE Supply] store not knowing that his separation had been announced,” Harrison revealed in a statement on October 3. “I was going there to meet him. … He was introducing me to the guys there so I could pull clothes [for Giannulli’s brand G/FORE].”

Loughlin and Giannulli share daughters Isabella Rose, 27, and Olivia Jade, 26. (Mossimo is also the father of son Gianni, 34, whom he shares with first wife Chris Giannulli.)

The Fuller House alum and the fashion designer eloped in November 1997. More than two decades later, Loughlin shared the secret to the pair’s marriage.

“He’s my guy, he’s my person,” she gushed to Entertainment Tonight in February 2018, adding that the key to a healthy relationship is “communicating, it’s listening, it’s picking and choosing your battles. It’s being flexible, it’s all of that.”

Less than one year later, Loughlin and Mossimo’s marriage was put to the test when they were both arrested for their involvement in the 2019 college admissions scandal. They were accused of falsifying their daughters’ participation on the University of Southern California’s crew team and paying a $500,000 bribe to get them into the school.

Though Loughlin and Mossimo initially pleaded not guilty to fraud and money laundering conspiracy charges in April 2019, they eventually pleaded guilty to wire and mail fraud in May 2020. Mossimo was sentenced to five months in prison and two years of supervised release with 250 hours of community service. He was released from prison three weeks early in April 2021.

Loughlin, for her part, was sentenced to two months in prison, two years of supervised release and 100 hours of community service. She was released in December 2020.

The couple were also ordered to pay $400,000 in fines, which they completed in November 2020.

Months before their split, Mossimo and Loughlin listed their Hidden Hills mansion in California for $16.5 million. The asking price was dropped to $14.95 million in July, according to real estate records.
