Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Share 2025 Holiday Card With Kids

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle pulled back the curtain on their private life with their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in anticipation of the holidays.

Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, released their 2025 holiday card on Friday, December 19, complete with rare photos of Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4.

“Happy Holidays! From our family to yours,” Meghan captioned her Instagram post. The image featured Archie with his arms wrapped tightly around Harry, who is cradling his son’s face. Meghan, meanwhile, is crouched down to Lilibet’s level and is touching foreheads with her daughter. Lilibet’s red hair is covering her face.

Since stepping away from their royal duties and moving to California in 2020, Harry and Meghan — who tied the knot in May 2018 — have kept their family life relatively private. However, earlier this month, Meghan shared a rare glimpse at their Christmas traditions in her With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration special on Netflix.

“[It’s about] trying to really embrace and lean into making every day of that month special as you’re wrapping up a year,” Meghan said of the importance of an advent calendar. “But don’t feel like you have to do it all. Just embrace the special touches that bring you joy.”

During the special, Meghan made an advent calendar for her kids, with each day featuring a treat or handwritten note from their mom.

“All it’s really about is having a surprise and delight every single day for 24 days until you get to Christmas,” she noted. “They’re not supposed to be big things. They’re supposed to be small gestures.”

As for the family’s food customs, Meghan revealed that they celebrate with brunch each Christmas, with a cinnamon bun star serving as the centerpiece of their meal.

“I love the tradition of a Christmas morning brunch,” she shared. “I do it every year with my family and I’ve already gotten a little head start — something sweet, something savory.”

For Christmas Eve, Meghan and her family have a tradition of eating her mom Doria Ragland’s gumbo.

“It’s a once-a-year thing that she does,” she explained.

Meghan also pointed out that cookie decorating is a “fun family activity” as well as something she does to unwind in her alone time.

“[It’s] equally a very fun kids-have-gone-to-bed, quiet, calm, meditative moment,” she joked.

Elsewhere during the special, Harry dropped by to offer some insight into his own holiday food preferences.

“Gumbo, for me, is one of my favorites,” he said. “Especially her mom’s, but before the fish goes in.”

When Harry tried Meghan’s version of the recipe, which she warned had “more kick to it” than her mom’s, he told her it was “wonderful,” though it still came second to Ragland’s.

“I can feel it puncturing through the top of my head right now,” he quipped. “It is delicious. I’m not so sure it’s as good as your mom’s but it’s certainly close.”

Although Meghan pretended to be offended by Harry’s review, she ultimately took it in stride.

“My mom will love you for that,” she said. “What a good thing to say for your mother-in-law.”
