The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan King called cops to report a stranger making “threatening” comments to her, Us Weekly can exclusively report.
On September 7, the former reality star, 41, who lives in Missouri, called the Kirkwood Police Department. An officer from the department drove out to King’s home to take down a report.
Per the report, the officer said that King claimed a person she did not know had been texting her for several months. She claimed the person was “making threatening remarks.”
The officer closed the case the same day. A rep for the police department tells Us the case is still under investigation.

As Us first reported, on May 1, Kortnie Edmonds, the wife of King’s ex-husband Jim Edmonds, called the police on King after an incident at Kortnie and Jim’s home. (King and Jim, 55, were married from October 2014 until Jim filed for divorce in October 2019. They settled their divorce in May 2021. The exes share an 8-year-old daughter, Aspen, and 7-year-old twins, Hart and Hayes. Jim married Kortnie in September 2022.)
Kortnie, who initially wanted to press charges, told the police that King came to her home and rang the doorbell “multiple times.” She said King told her she was there to drop off her daughter’s dress. Kortnie said King refused to hand her the dress and asked to speak to her daughter.

Kortnie told King her daughter was not home and she was out with Jim. She said she told King to leave the dress and closed the door. She said she walked back towards her office when she heard King inside the home shouting for her daughter.
The officer wrote, “Kortnie walked back to the front door and observed Meghan standing inside the house approximately 5 feet from the doorway.” Kortnie told police she told King to “get out of my house.”
“Meghan slowly walked back outside the residence, but wedged her foot in the door briefly so Kortnie couldn’t shut the door completely. After Meghan moved her foot, Kortnie closed the door,” the report noted.
The report was sent to the Frontenac Municipal Prosecutor for potential criminal charges but none were brought against King.
Kortnie filed a restraining order against King, but the matter was dismissed after they reached an agreement to stay away from each other.
King told the police a different story. She said she spoke to Jim about bringing over the dress, and that she wanted to talk to their daughter before she arrived.
Sources close to King claimed Kortnie was “visibly upset” when King arrived at the home and told her to leave. The insider pointed out King was not arrested or detained during her conversations with the police.

“It was shocking to her that it happened in the first place,” a source told Us.“She is over this back and forth. She thinks it’s ridiculous. It was a very simple interaction that didn’t need police.”
In bodycam footage from the Frontenac Police Department, obtained by Us, King told officers during questioning that her ex was “emotionally abusive” and said he uses his “name” and his “money” to “push me around.”
A rep for Jim denied the claims.
“Jim is an active and present father to all his children. The unfortunate part of all this is that it’s the kids who suffer the most. Jim has always been willing to coparent in a respectful and productive way however Meghan has yet to reciprocate,” the rep added. “Jim has a long history of consistently making decisions and acting in a way that is best for his kids.”
