Rob Lowe’s wife, Sheryl Lowe, is a straight-shooter when it comes to her husband.
“You don’t like me being on TikTok, do you?” Rob, 61, asked his wife during the Thursday, October 16, episode of his “Literally!” podcast. Sheryl, 64, confirmed that she is “absolutely not” a fan of her husband’s TikTok habit.
“I think it corrupts the brain,” she stated. “Well, you know what? I want to be more specific. TikTok can be fun when used moderately, but for people that have addictions, it really does appeal to the compulsive part of those individuals.”
While she was finishing her sentence, Rob spoke over Sheryl to discuss the “dopamine dump” offered by TikTok.
“You’re overstepping. I’m talking,” Sheryl said, as Rob continued. “Honey! Thank you.”

The moment ended with a smile from Sheryl as Rob let her continue.
“I just think that TikTok — it’s cool, I get it — but it promotes this, you start and then you got to have more and more and more,” Sheryl said. “It’s like you become insatiable and that’s what they want.”
The discussion continued with Sheryl reminding Rob that he would “set boundaries” for their sons — Matthew, 32, and John Owen, 29 — when they would play video games as kids.
“What do you think would be healthy boundaries [for TikTok]?” Rob asked.
“To set a certain amount of time during a day,” Sheryl responded. “Right now, it’s every single day, certain amount of hours a day. What would be nice is to cut [those] hours.”
She suggested making it “more normal” instead of a “compulsive” usage of the platform.
“That’s really smart,” Rob said. “That’s a great observation.”
Thursday’s podcast marked the second time that Rob had his wife as a guest on his show. At one point, they FaceTimed their son Matthew, who didn’t know about his mom’s guest appearance.
“That means you have the world’s most requested guest back on,” Matthew said. Rob added, “She’s a fan favorite. I was just telling her, she’s a fan favorite.”

“I think we’ve been together, I don’t know, over 35 [years] for sure,” Sheryl told Rob at the beginning of the episode. He also doubled down on listeners telling him that they “want more” of Sheryl on the podcast.
“I think they like you as I do,” Rob added. “I think they see why you’ve captured my attention.”
Sheryl also kicked off the podcast by fixing her husband’s hair.
“It’s a little bubbly on top,” she explained before going over and adjusting it. “It just needs to be relaxed. More chill. I feel so much better.”
The couple then got into Sheryl’s success for a 34-year-long marriage.
“In my relationship, I don’t take for granted that you know what I’m feeling. You know what I mean by what I say. I really am careful to communicate,” Sheryl explained. “I always think it’s really helpful for me when you look at me and you hear me and you’re in the moment, you’re present so I know I’m being seen and heard.”
