If anyone has mastered the art of making every outing feel fabulous, it’s Lisa Rinna. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star sat down with Us to share her go-to night-out look, must-have beauty staples and the holiday gift she gives on repeat. Spoiler alert: her recommendations include an $11 lip gloss.
When it comes to what to wear, Rinna typically dresses for the location, but there is one formula she continues to rely on whenever she’s heading somewhere fun: “baggy jeans, a cool bag, an oversized blazer and maybe a bustier underneath.”
More recently, the actress and reality star has been adding an eye-catching twist to the classic look. “Right now, I would say it usually has cowboy boots involved,” she said.
The 62-year-old’s approach to evening beauty is just as pared down. She skips a cluttered makeup bag in favor of a few foolproof staples.
“I always have to have a lip gloss,” Rinna told Us. “There always has to be something for my lips — always. And I don’t take a lot, just one.” Her top picks happen to be accessible icons. “MAC [Lipglass Lip Gloss], right now, is my favorite,” she said, adding that she also likes L’Oréal lip gloss as a drugstore option.
Rather than drenching herself in perfume before heading out the door, Rinna is a fan of using luxe oils.
“I actually don’t wear perfume. Can you believe that? I’m allergic to it,” she revealed. Instead, her signature smell comes from a tried-and-true skincare product. “I love Clarins Body Oil. It’s a beautiful scent, love it. They have one for the face and one for the body, and I love both.”
Of course, no night out is complete without the perfect drink in hand, and this season, Rinna is all about Crown Royal’s new Chocolate Flavored Whisky. She noted that she loves how the brand is “taking something classic and giving it a bold, surprising twist,” and while she’s open to playful pairings like grapefruit and chocolate, her current cocktail of choice is the Crown Chocolate Cherry Sour. “It’s rich, a little tangy and perfect for nights out with friends,” she raved.
While nights out admittedly happen less often these days, Rinna said that when she does stay out late, her skincare routine never slips.
“I always take my makeup off before I go to bed,” she insisted. “I do not sleep in my makeup because that is a big no-no.” After cleansing, she reaches for some Dr. Barbara Sturm favorites. “I will always put on something of hers because I know it doesn’t break me out, [it] keeps me moisturized. Let’s say her fabulous neck cream … [I] never go without [it].”

Hydration is also key for the star, and aside from drinking “a lot of water” post-party, Rinnna loves another skin-quenching hero: hyaluronic acid.
“I love any kind, but Dr. Barbara Sturm has a great one,” she said, recommending L’Oréal’s version as a solid budget-friendly alternative.
