Allison Mack tied the knot with reformed neo-Nazi Frank Meeink two years after her release from prison.
The former Smallville star served 21 months behind bars for pleading guilty to racketeering and racketeering conspiracy due to her involvement in the self-help group-turned-sex cult NXIVM.
Mack was accused of recruiting for the secretive all-female NXIVM subgroup known as Dominus Obsequious Sororium (DOS), in which members — who called themselves “slaves” — had cult leader Keith Raniere’s initials branded on their skin and were allegedly pressured to seduce Raniere. (Raniere is serving a 120-year prison sentence after his 2020 conviction for sex trafficking, wire fraud conspiracy, forced labor conspiracy and racketeering, among other charges. He has maintained his innocence.)
While Mack has largely shunned the media since her 2018 arrest, she opened up about starting a new life with Meeink for the first time in the “Allison after NXIVM” podcast in 2025.

Who Is Frank Meeink?
Frank Meeink was formerly a neo-Nazi who once even had the word “skinhead” tattooed across his knuckles. He served three years in prison for armed kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon.
Meeink had a change of heart in prison and eventually cut ties with the neo-Nazi movement permanently after working for a Jewish man. He cowrote the 2009 memoir Autobiography of a Recovering Skinhead: The Frank Meeink Story about his rejection of racism and transformation into an advocate for tolerance and prison reform.
“I completely, at one time, believed that because of the color of my skin, I was better than another human being on this planet, and believed that with all my heart for years of my life,” he admitted on the “Allison after NXIVM” podcast. “I know now that’s one of the most idiotic things you can say.”
In a fateful twist, Meeink told the New York Post in 2024 that a DNA test proved that he actually has Jewish ancestry.
“I found out by a beautiful gift from God that I was Jewish through DNA,” he said at that time.
As of 2025, Frank worked at a nonprofit for unhoused people, according to the “Allison after NXIVM” podcast. He also does public speaking and civil rights activism.
How Did Frank Meeink and Allison Mack Meet?
Allison Mack met Frank Meeink at a dog park in February 2024 when he complimented her dog on its “pretty pink skin.”
“He has a very thick East Coast accent,” she said on the “Allison after NXIVM” podcast. “I immediately [asked], ‘Are you from New York?’ Because I love New York.”
Meeink corrected Mack that he is from Philadelphia. When Mack replied that she “loved Philly” too, Meeink joked that she probably never visited the area where he grew up.
“[He said], ‘I’m from South Philly, it’s kind of The Hood,’” Mack recalled.

The two hit it off and Allison eventually brought her mother, Mindy Mack, along for dinner at the Thai restaurant where Meeink was working at the time. During their meal, Frank explained that he was a public speaker on tolerance and deradicalization.
In a surprising twist, Mack realized that she’d actually seen Meeink’s interview in Steven Spielberg’s 2019 documentary Why We Hate while her new beau previously watched HBO’s docuseries The Vow about the NXIVM scandal.
Because of his own criminal background, Meeink was warned by some of his friends against getting involved with the former cult member.
“They were saying [Mack] was with Jeffrey Epstein,” he recalled. “You hear all these crazy things, right? … There are people who are saying her name’s on the Epstein list and this crazy stuff.”
Meeink went on, “I [realized], ‘No, no, it’s not like that.’ I can tell that it wasn’t a sexual deviant thing that [she was] going through.”
NXIVM leader Raniere and Epstein were both represented by lawyer Marc Fernich at one time but had no other known connection. Convicted sex offender Epstein died by suicide at age 66 in August 2019 after being arrested on federal sex trafficking charges.
How Did Frank Meeink React to Allison Mack’s NXIVM Scandal?
In the “Allison after NXIVM” podcast, host Natalie Robehmed revealed that Allison Mack opened up to Frank Meeink about her experience in the cult shortly after their first date.
“She wasn’t defending anything,” Meeink remembered. “She was just like, ‘Here’s the deal: A bunch of women got branded. This is why I went to prison. We were part of this cult, and it was this sex cult.’”
Meeink remembered Mack specifically using the term “cult” to describe NXIVM during their discussion. After Mack laid out her whole story, she asked her future husband if he judged her for her involvement with NXIVM.

“I just looked at her and said, ‘You know I’m a former neo-Nazi who used to kidnap people?’” he quipped. “‘You think I have any room to judge you? No, I don’t judge you at all!’”
When Did Frank Meeink and Allison Mack Get Married?
Us Weekly reported in June 2025 that Allison Mack and Frank Meeink tied the knot in the Los Angeles area in a traditional Jewish ceremony. Mack reportedly wore a halter-neck bridal gown with three wildflowers pinned in her updo, while Meeink went with a gray suit.
“It was a very intimate ceremony with 40 people in her parents’ garden in the backyard,” a source exclusively told Us. “It was lovely.”
The insider said that Mack viewed her marriage as a brand new chapter as she tried to put the NXIVM scandal behind her once and for all.

“They hit it off and the rest is history. They fell in love and you know that can happen quickly,” the source added. “She’s just happy and feels very full of hope right now and going in a positive direction in her life.”
Mack was previously married to fellow former NXIVM member Nicki Clyne when they were both in a sexual relationship with the cult’s leader, Keith Raniere. Mack confirmed in “Allison after NXIVM” that she agreed to marry Clyne to help the Canadian native stay in the U.S. in 2017.
“I already know I’m not going to marry somebody else. What’s the difference? We’re basically married anyway. So why not?” Mack said. “Her mom and her and I went to a Justice of the Peace, the courthouse in L.A. somewhere, I think, and her mom was there to witness it.”
Mack filed for divorce from Clyne in 2020.
